you've consumed enough, it's time to start creating
Mental masturbation is an absolute dream killer.
Constantly filling your mind with new information that never gets put to use is one of the biggest drivers of anxiety and unease in our world today.
You're not creating anything out of what you consume.
Each waking hour is being wasted watching other people live their lives, taking orders from those who have no direction themselves, and mindlessly following the crowd of drifters around you.
This should bother you.
The world is designed to keep you addicted to consumption.
From fast food to cheap dopamine hits scrolling social media, your mind never gets a break.
If you fail to take control of your mind, you will ultimately squander your potential and fulfillment in life.
The world would be happy to see you spend all of your money, time, and energy consuming instead of creating.
It might not appear significant, but there is an old saying when it comes to the mind: "If you don't use it, you will lose it."
This is an absolute fact.
The longer you spend your life as a consumer in the age of infinite consumption, the harder it will be to break free and begin creating the life and work you want.
If you don’t switch now from consumer to creator, the problem will only grow worse: a life of meaningless consumption, a body you don’t like, a job that doesn’t fulfill you, and a purpose that feels misaligned.
The goal is to shift your mindset from being a passive observer of your reality to becoming an active participant.
To create a meaningful purpose and mission instead of being assigned one.
To build a life by design instead of being forced to clock in for someone else.
A life of design is a life of freedom—no longer constrained by the limitations of others, but guided by the desire inside of you.
The world has brainwashed many into believing that reality is set in stone, that you have no control over the results.
This belief system traps people in the cycle of work, eat, sleep, and repeat. Shifting into the mindset of a creator is about reclaiming control of the world within, which is the most powerful thing you can do.
When you master the man in the mirror, you can create nearly anything you want in life.
In an age of infinite consumers, there has never been a better opportunity to start creating.
You no longer need the approval of big companies or gatekeepers.
A new age of individual creators is upon us.
Breaking free from the confines of being a zombie consumer to mega-corporations requires overcoming the mental shackles placed on you.
The first step is to acknowledge the war on your mind.
Multibillion- and trillion-dollar companies are constantly vying for your attention and focus.
According to a 2023 Statista report, the average American spends 7.5 hours per day consuming media—amounting to approximately 52.5 hours per week.
Most Americans are spending nearly an entire workweek consuming instead of creating.
This consumption generates billions of dollars weekly for the largest corporations.
Why would these companies spend so much money to gain your attention? What do they know that you don’t?
More importantly, what could you achieve in your own life if you began to harness the power behind your attention and focus?
Recognizing these forces at work equips you to reclaim your life, refocus your energy, and break free from the manipulation designed to keep you trapped in endless consumption.
Once you uncover the truth about the relentless efforts to trap you in a consumer mindset, the next step is clear: shift your energy from consuming to creating. Although this step is simple, it’s not easy.
Picture this: imagine being crippled from a major car accident.
After surgery, the recovery process involves rebuilding strength, relearning basic movements, and steadily progressing through consistent effort.
Often, people must relearn how to walk entirely.
Relearning to walk starts with the basics—regaining balance, developing muscle memory, and taking small, deliberate steps.
It’s a process of steady effort and gradual progress, where every step forward feels like reclaiming a piece of yourself.
Over time, consistency turns struggle into confidence, but it demands patience and grit.
The same is true for shifting from consumer to creator. It starts with experimenting, creating, and gaining confidence.
Over time, with consistent practice, it becomes natural, but it requires patience and the willingness to push through the discomfort of the unknown.
For many, creativity and critical thinking have been hijacked by years of endless consumption.
Relearning to think for yourself, embrace the unknown, and challenge existing beliefs is essential to creating a life by design.
As you redevelop your ability to think independently, the next step is to build your own project.
Building a project is an outlet to stress-test your creative thinking.
Most people are trapped in 9-to-5 jobs that reduce their abilities to a single-minded task and role.
They’re assigned clear objectives, monitored by managers, and evaluated monthly—a framework nearly identical to the education system, which was designed to prepare young minds for factory-like workforces.
Starting a new project requires you to solve problems not assigned to you, think for yourself, manage your time, and create value outside the system.
It doesn’t matter what you create—what matters is that you start.
Whether it’s writing, coding, teaching, or building with your hands, the act of creating something of value on your own terms with your own mind is transformative.
Too many people have lost this ability and depend on others to assign them goals, tasks, or positions.
In the coming world, shaped by artificial intelligence and advanced technologies, independent thinking and creativity will be more important than ever.
These technologies will eliminate countless jobs, and the luxury of relying on traditional employment will no longer be guaranteed.
To thrive, you will need to build independent, self-sustaining income streams.
This isn’t about becoming a billionaire but about choosing how you serve the world and earning a living doing so.
Through trial and error, you will discover what you do best and find your mission and purpose through self-discovery.
By shifting from consumer to creator, you reclaim control of your life.
You become more powerful in your ability to affect change, produce results, and solve problems.
You take the power away from the largest companies in the world and put it back in your own hands. This is the true path to freedom.
Hope this helps.
